The Handmade Jungle had a rapid and dynamic production. The original lead actor was unable to return after the first day of shooting, so the script was reworked to center around Tyler Lacy's character, Matthew. The short film was shot over the course of two days, with ensemble jungle scenes shot on the first day and the solo Jungle scene and scenes at the house shot on the second day.
